Express Entry (category - Permanent Residence)

This program is designed for skilled workers worldwide to immigrate to Canada as permanent residents. This program is an online system that skill worker applicants can apply to gain permanent residency in Canada.

 Express Entry has three categories:

Canadian Experience Class

Federal Skilled worker

Federal Skilled trade program

Canadian Experience Class

* For skilled workers who have Canadian work experience * Work experience must have been gained in the 3 years befor apply

Federal Skilled worker

* For skilled workers with foreign work experience * Must meet criteria for education and other factors

Federal Skilled trade program

*For skilled workers who are qualified in a skilled trade *Must have a valid job offer or a certificate of qualification

Ranking in the Express Entry pool is based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), a point-based system. They draw down each time from the highest score until their maximum capacity. For inviting through this system, you need to score above the minimum points score for your round of invitations.

The scores are calculated based on:

-Age

-Education

-English /French test score

-Work experience in your country

-Education in Canada

-Work experience in Canada

  • marital status
  • Having a valid job offer supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment

Skilled workers with Canadian work experience can apply for this category under the Express Entry program.

The minimum qualification for applying under this category are:

  • Have at least 30 hours/week for 12 months of full-time or equal amount of part-time skilled work experience in the last three years in Canada.
  • Skilled work experience means your work experience must be in NOC 0, A or B jobs.
  • meet the minimum language level of:
    • Canadian Language Benchmark 7 for NOC 0 or A jobs or
    • Canadian Language Benchmark 5 for NOC B jobs
  • You must be admissible to Canada.

Skilled workers can apply for this program which is a category under Express Entry

The minimum qualification for applying under this category are:

  • skilled work experience: Having at least 30 hours/week for 12 months of full time or an equal amount of part-time skilled work experience in the last 3 years
  • language ability: minimum level of CLB 7
  • Education: One-year degree, diploma or certificate
  • Age:18 years or older
  • You must be admissible to Canada.

Skilled workers who have qualifications in a skilled trade can apply for this program which is a category under Express Entry.

The minimum qualification for applying under this category are:

  • skilled work experience: have at least 2 years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade within the 5 years before you apply
  • language ability: minimum level of CLB 4
  • You must be admissible to Canada.

Skilled trades for the Federal Skilled Trades Program are organized under these groups of the National Occupational Classification (NOC):

  • Major Group 72, industrial, electrical and construction trades
  • Major Group 73, maintenance and equipment operation trades
  • Major Group 82, supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture and related production
  • Major Group 92, processing, manufacturing and utility supervisors and central control operators
  • Minor Group 632, chefs and cooks
  • Minor Group 633, butchers and bakers

Provincial Nominee:

The Entrepreneur Immigration Stream of each province, called the Provincial Nominee Program, is a path to immigrate to Canada and settle in a specific province for experienced entrepreneurs who can support innovation and economic growth in the province.

 Each province has its own criteria for accepting candidates in their business category. Sometimes they change the program criteria, so you should check each province’s website. You can also contact us to evaluate your qualifications for registering in a specific province.

  • Alberta : Rural Entrepreneur Stream
  • British Columbia: Entrepreneur Immigration stream of the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)
  • Manitoba: Business Investor Stream (BIS)

  • The Entrepreneur Pathway for applicants seeking to open a business in Manitoba; and
  • The Farm Investor Pathway for those intending to establish and operate a farm operation in rural Manitoba.
